Sous Chef – family run pub and dining room – This 14th Century coaching inn has several letting rooms, a bar and popular restaurant that has built up an excellent reputation for their fine food. Due to this success, they are now looking to recruit a talented Sous Chef to support the team. With a small brigade of chefs they prepare fresh, seasonal menus and everything is made in house, using local produce where possible. They cater for the 70 cover restaurant and have further seating outside in the warmer months. As Sous Chef you will be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen, contributing ideas for the menus and taking full control in the Head Chefs absence. Other duties will include training the junior chefs, assisting with stock control, ordering and ensuring all health, hygiene and safety procedures are in place. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a fresh food kitchen, feel passionately about cooking with fresh produce and enjoy working within a small family run business.
