Food & Beverage Manager – boutique hotel –
A small boutique hotel with a variety of entertainment spaces including a restaurant, bar, courtyard, terrace and room service. It is a busy establishment also catering for a number of weddings and events. Due to their continued success they are looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all the hotels catering options. The role will involve the following:
• To take overall responsibility for the management and operation of all hotel catering requirements: Restaurants & Bar, Events catering & Room service
• Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of food and beverage operations across all points of sale to the highest service standards and performance levels
• Deliver the highest possible standard of food and beverages with the resources available, within budget and in line with sales/revenue targets
• Ensure that all customers receive a high quality service every time from their arrival through to their departure
• Take overall responsibility for all F&B budgeting, forecasting and stock ordering
• Actively seek and identify opportunities and innovations for business growth & development
• Effectively manage and organise the F&B team to ensure the delivery of both qualitative and quantitative results, including; managing staff rotas, authorising and administering time sheets, annual leave etc.
• Support and develop the F&B team to perform to the highest standards through coaching, training and motivation and carry out performance reviews in line with the hotels policies and procedures
• Ensure effective lines of communication, both upwards and downwards, between management and the various F&B teams through regular team meetings and briefings
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Previous experience at a 4* venue in a senior position for a minimum of two years, and will be passionate and knowledgeable about the industry.
• Personable and charismatic personality and copes well under pressure
• Ability to work closely with the head chef and bar manager to ensure excellent relationship between front and back of house teams
• Proven record of excellent team management skills
• A dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit, with ambition to help develop the brand across a number of channels
