Sous Chef – boutique hotel – superb, fresh cuisine – This beautiful boutique hotel on the Sussex coast is currently seeking a creative Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen. The hotel has a contemporary feel and there is a modern dining room, a popular bar and outside terrace for the warmer months. They serve simple uncomplicated cuisine, with an emphasis on the use of fresh, seasonal produce, all locally sourced where possible. With a brigade of 9 chefs they prepare everything in house including bread, sorbets and ice cream. There is a fantastic team, lead by some extremely experienced and professional heads of department throughout the hotel. So, there are plenty of opportunities for career development. This is positively encouraged and there will be assistance where required. The Head Chef has worked within a number of award winning kitchens so there will be plenty of opportunity to collaborate on menus and develop your skills further. The ideal candidate will be have worked at a senior level within high quality fresh food kitchens and have a genuine love for cooking with fresh, seasonal produce.
