A contemporary café operation in a town centre location. This stylish café is independently owned and offers an excellent choice of fresh, seasonal cuisine.
The emphasis here is on simple, well prepared food where the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. There is a small team preparing breakfast and lunch for up to 120 covers a day at the weekends.
The successful Second Chef will be involved in all aspects of running a good quality, fast paced kitchen. This will include assisting with menu design, costing, stock control, ordering, maintaining all health and hygiene procedures and full responsibility in the Head Chefs absence.
For the Second Chef, previous experience within a similar environment would be beneficial along with some knowledge of baking, although an excellent training can be offered to someone with less experience.
