Commis Chef – day-time restaurant – fantastic training guaranteed –
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Commis Chef to join this new restaurant set in 48 acres of East Sussex woodland. The restaurant is set in a small group of architecturally designed environmentally sustainable buildings, a place where people can embrace nature and enjoy outside activities.
The food and drink offering will be in keeping with this culture, using the very best of local products. They prepare everything on site and as a Commis Chef you will receive a fantastic training on all sections of the kitchen.
Alongside this property our client has two further restaurants, one an award-winning farm to fork concept and the second offers small and sharing plates. They grow most of the produce from the farm established specifically for this purpose and forage for seasonal treasures too.
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience within a professional kitchen, although they have some amazingly talented chefs keen to share their knowledge, so this is not essential if the person has plenty of enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

The working week will be 5 days out of 7 and will include two consecutive days off, however weekend working is a necessity. Opening day light hours initially, there may be opportunities in the future for early evenings in the summer months.
Due to the rural location of this position, you will require your own transport.
