Assistant Manager – Day Time Restaurant – Eco Woodland Park
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager for this new restaurant set in 48 acres of East Sussex woodland. The restaurant is set in a small group of architecturally designed environmentally sustainable buildings, a place where people can embrace nature and enjoy outside activities.
The food and drink offering will be in keeping with this culture, using the very best of local products. Our client has an award-winning farm to fork restaurant, growing most of the produce from the farm established specifically for this purpose. This is the third restaurant for this award-winning small group who consider sustainability, and provenance of the product as important as the taste.
The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, bar, hotel, or gastro pub, and have sound knowledge of food and hygiene, health and safety and managing a team. The added ingredient is an enthusiasm for fresh locally sourced food and the accompanying drinks.This may suit an existing Assistant Manager looking for a change in direction, or a front of house team leader or Chef de Rang looking for career development.
The working week will be 5 days out of 7 and will include two consecutive days off, however weekend working is a necessity. Opening day light hours initially, there may be opportunities in the future for early evening cocktails in the summer months.
Due to the rural location of this position, you will require your own transport.
