SOUS CHEF – wine bar & kitchen – contemporary cuisine –
This luxury wine bar and restaurant has been building an excellent reputation for their fine food and service. They have a talented Head Chef running the kitchen and he is looking for a keen and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join the team.
There is a stable brigade of chefs and a great working environment. The owners are experienced professionals with having worked within some of the finest restaurants both in the UK and abroad. They are keen to offer a great work life balance and are looking at a 4 day week with 3 days off. There will also be Christmas Day off, a pension and medical insurance after a qualifying period.
The menus are modern European with everything being made in house using local and artisan suppliers and producers. The emphasis is on small plates which change regularly to reflect the seasons.
The ideal candidate will have worked within a fresh food kitchen and feel passionately about their role in hospitality. As Sous Chef you will be involved in menu design, sourcing suppliers, costing, stock control, ordering and motivating the junior chefs and running the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
