JUNIOR SOUS CHEF – superb, fast paced gastro pub - £27,000 + £5k tips –
A popular gastro pub that has built up an excellent reputation for their fine food and service. Having been well-established for years they have survived the pandemic and come back busier than ever. Due to the increase in business they are looking to strengthen the team with a strong Junior Sous Chef.
The role would suit a Chef de Partie looking to progress to the next stage in their career. There will be plenty of opportunities to cover all sections and develop your management skills, under the guidance of the talented Head and Sous Chef.
There is a brigade of 6-7 chefs preparing modern European cuisine. They prepare everything in house using fresh, seasonal produce and where possible this will all be sourced locally. The successful Junior Sous Chef will be involved in menu design, stock control, ordering and training the junior members of the team.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine love of cooking and had previous experience within a fresh food kitchen - preferably a busy one!
