A five star boutique hotel set in 300 acres of private gardens and farmland, where they rear their own meat and grow a variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs to use in the kitchen.
This unique establishment caters for an award winning, 30 cover restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Due to its idyllic location, they are also very popular for weddings and a variety of functions.
There is a brigade of 4 chefs preparing modern British cuisine and everything is made in house using fresh, seasonal ingredients, all sourced locally when they cannot produce it themselves. As Head Chef you will have full responsibility for the day to day running of this well-equipped, modern kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the farmer and head gardener to plan balanced menus that are exciting and delicious and maintain good relationships with the suppliers to guarantee quality products at the best price.
The property is independently owned and the proprietors are happy to look at Senior Sous Chefs looking for their first Head Chef position too. They are both involved in the business and fully support all the staff to ensure a happy working environment.
