A superb opportunity for a talented Sous to join the team at this small country house hotel. Having always held many awards and accolades for their first class cuisine, they are looking for a dedicated chef who can contribute to their continued success.
There is a fine dining restaurant that seats up to 40 covers, allowing a great deal of care and attention to be given to the preparation and presentation of this modern British menu. With a brigade of 6 chefs they prepare everything in house using the finest, fresh produce and the menus change regularly to reflect the seasons. Where possible they source locally utilising all the wonderful Sussex produce.
Alongside this they also cater for a variety of functions, parties and weddings for up to 100 covers. There has been considerable investment in the property and you would be joining at an exciting time with a new GM who is looking to develop and progress this lovely hotel.
As Sous Chef you will be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen, contributing ideas for the menus, training and mentoring the junior staff and ensuring all health, hygiene and safety procedures are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience cooking to AA Rosette standard, feel passionately about their role as a Chef and be looking for a long term role where they can really make a difference.
