HEAD CHEF– restaurant & weddings – £35,000 – 40-45 hour week -
An independently run gastro pub with an a la carte restaurant, a lovely garden and beautiful barn for functions and weddings. The owners are enthusiastic professionals with years of hospitality experience and are looking for a Head Chef who has a real passion and love for the industry.
There is a brigade of five chefs preparing modern British cuisine. They make everything in house using fresh, seasonal ingredients and where possible they source their produce locally. The function menus are written in advance, however the pub menus change regularly.
The successful Head Chef will be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen, including menu design, costing, stock control, ordering, sourcing suppliers, all health, hygiene and safety procedures and staff training and motivation. The Owners would also like the Head Chef to be part of the wedding process, meeting the bride and groom and discussing the menus that will help to make their day special.
The ideal candidate will be a talented Chef who thoroughly enjoys working with fresh, seasonal produce. It will be a hands-on role and great organisational skills will be essential along with a real love of cooking.
