GENERAL MANAGER - £30,000 -
Crowborough Rugby Football Club is looking for a General Manager to take over the running of the new clubhouse. The club, an amateur community club, has a thriving membership from minis to senior level who enjoy excellent facilities set within the 16 acres of grounds.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, versatile and flexible individual, with a warm, hospitable nature, sound business acumen, and an ability to communicate and coordinate with a diverse membership of all ages.
Duties will include general bar management, liaising with suppliers and customers, serving, cellar and staff management, the handling of function bookings and supervising the delivery of formal league lunches, post-match meals, supervising the provision of general catering, engaging with club members, guests and visitors.
In addition to the role of Club Steward, there will be an emphasis on the business development of the site, growing the bar and catering business and focusing on new revenue streams.
This is a permanent, ‘hands-on position’, weighted towards weekend work, where you will be the human face of the clubhouse and be instrumental in creating a friendly and fun atmosphere.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is essential, and a passion for grass roots rugby is desirable.
