SOUS CHEF – contemporary dining – circa £35,000 –
An exciting opportunity to join this new, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar which also has a beautiful garden for the warmer months. With the lockdown restrictions due to be relaxed in April, they are anticipating a huge demand for their superb hospitality and innovative, seasonal menus.
The restaurant seats up to 70 covers and there is a further 80 covers in the garden. Initially there will be a brigade of 6 chefs to cater for the outdoor space and this will be increased when the inside areas are opened up again. There is an extremely talented Head Chef (who has won numerous awards during his career), running the kitchen and he is looking for a strong Sous Chef to support him in all aspects of running the kitchen.
The menus are modern British with European influences and everything made in house using fresh, locally sourced produce. So previous experience as a Sous Chef will be essential, alongside a real passion for cooking. The standards will be extremely high and it would be an advantage if the Sous Chef has gained experience in both independent and branded, high volume restaurants.
