SOUS CHEF – restaurant going for awards – £32,000 + tips -
An exciting opportunity to be involved from the inception of this high end, casual dining restaurant. Initially the project will focus on the 75 cover restaurant and cocktail bar. However there are plans to develop the gardens, installing a further kitchen and bar to cater for guests outside during the warmer months.
The emphasis here will be on the preparation of fresh, not overly complicated cuisine using locally sourced, seasonal produce. This will include a good range of vegetarian and vegan menus too. Working alongside the Head Chef the Sous Chef will have plenty of opportunity to influence the menus, which will change regularly to utilise the best Kent produce and keep customers returning.
The ideal Sous Chef will have worked at rosette level and have a good understanding of running a busy, first class kitchen. As this is a new opening the successful Sous Chef will also be involved in training and motivating the junior members of the team to ensure you get the best out of them, stock control, ordering and all relevant paperwork.
