HEAD CHEF – new opening - £45,000 + tips and bonus – fresh, seasonal cuisine -
An exciting opportunity to be involved from the inception of this high end, casual dining restaurant. Initially the project will focus on the 75 cover restaurant and cocktail bar. However there are plans to develop the gardens, installing a further kitchen and bar to cater for guests outside during the warmer months.
The emphasis here will be on the preparation of fresh, not overly complicated cuisine using locally sourced, seasonal produce. This will include a good range of vegetarian and vegan menus too. Working alongside the Owner the Head Chef will have plenty of autonomy over the menus, which will change regularly to keep customers returning.
The ideal chef will have worked at rosette level and have a good understanding of running a busy, first class kitchen. As this is a new opening the successful Head Chef will also be involved in designing the kitchen and guiding the owner on purchasing the necessary equipment.
Other duties will include recruiting, training and motivating your team to ensure you get the best out of them, dealing with suppliers, costings, stock control, ordering, managing the budgets and all relevant paperwork.
