SOUS CHEF - £25-28,000 +tips – British Pub –
A traditional British pub with roaring fires in the winter and a lovely views in the summer.Here they also have a popular restaurant which serves a daily changing menu to reflect the seasons.Due to their tremendous success they are looking for a professional Sous Chef to strengthen the team and support the Head Chef.
There is a brigade of 3 chefs in the kitchen preparing a variety of menus and everything except the bread and ice cream is made in house using fresh produce, which is all locally sourced where ever possible.The Head Chef is very talented so you will receive an excellent training on the kitchen management as well as the cooking and menu design.
As Sous Chef you will also be involved in all aspects of running the kitchen designing menus, costing, stock control, ordering and ensuring all health and hygiene procedures are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience within a similar environment, enjoy working with fresh, seasonal produce and have had experience at a senior level.
