A lovely old pub with plenty of character and beautiful country location. Although part of a group of pubs each establishment is run independently sourcing their own suppliers for both the kitchen and bar and developing their own style to suit the clientele.
Currently this popular site is looking to recruit a talented Sous Chef to assist with the day to day running of the kitchen. The menus are modern British incorporating influences from around the world. Second within a brigade of 6 chefs this will be a hands on role where you will play an integral part in the success of the business.
As Sous Chef you will be involved in writing the menus, sourcing suppliers to obtain the best quality and price, costing, stock control, ordering, staff recruitment, training and motivation along with maintaining all the health, hygiene and safety procedures.
These are busy, high volume sites and everything is made from fresh, seasonal produce so previous experience within a similar environment will be highly beneficial.
