PASTRY CHEF - £29,000 –contemporary, creative menus –
A unique, independently run hotel that has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The kitchen caters for a superb a la carte restaurant, a contemporary brasserie and extensive conference and banqueting facilities.
There is a brigade of 10 talented chefs preparing modern British cuisine with European influences. They make everything in house and where possible all the produce is sourced locally to ensure their menus are seasonal and their carbon footprint is low.
Currently they are seeking an extremely talented Pastry Chef to take over the day to day running of this busy section of the kitchen. You will have full responsibility for designing the menus for the restaurants and banqueting, costing, sourcing suppliers and ensuring the finest produce is used. Other duties will include staff training and motivation to ensure the pastry kitchen works in harmony with the rest of the brigade.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience within award winning, professional kitchens and be looking for a new and challenging role where they will have the opportunity to influence the menus and the success of the hotel.
