An independently run gastro pub with an a la carte restaurant, a beautiful garden and function facilities for up to 130 covers.
There is a small brigade preparing modern British cuisine and everything is made in house using fresh, seasonal produce. They have several acres of land and are keen to develop this into a small holding where they can grow their own fruit and vegetables and possibly rear some of their own meat.
So the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic chef who thoroughly enjoys working with fresh, seasonal produce. The proprietors are flexible on the amount of experience required as they are more than happy to train and develop the skills of some-one keen to learn. So this could be an ideal role for a Sous Chef looking to take on their first Head Chef position.
Alongside the restaurant they also cater for a number of functions, parties and weddings. This is a growing side of the business and gives the chef plenty of opportunity to display their creative talents.
